Tour of Belle’s Landing Procedures - Part 1 of 8

Landing the Boat

Like most things on the Belle, landing the boat takes a real team effort. In this presentation you will learn how the deck hands work together to bring the boat to the wharf and secure it.

To begin the landing process, the captain works with the pilot to bring the boat close to the wharf. He acts as the pilot’s eyes while standing on the wing bridge. The captain is giving instructions to the deck crew on the bow below and to the pilot.
