willow habitat

Willow Habitat Willows are some of the first trees to take root in marshlands and sandbars. They thrive in soggy soil. As the trees multiply, their roots hold more and more soil to create areas of dry land. The willows cover these new pieces of land in very dense thickets which serve as cover for many different types of insects, amphibians, birds, and mammals.
