Episode description: At nearly 12,000 feet, La Paz, Bolivia is one of the highest cities in the world. It is also home to a variety of religious beliefs, as evidenced by the items for sale in the Witches' Market. The surrounding countryside holds the remains of the Tiahuanacos, whose impressive rockwork and irrigation system were a source of inspiration to the Incas. Side trips in the region also include the aptly named "Most Dangerous Road in the World," which snakes its way along the sheer cliffs of the Andes, and Lake Titicaca with its traditional reed boats. A more modern vessel takes travelers to Isla del Sol, site of the mysterious Temple of the Sun that is said to be the origin point of the Inca Empire.
