Episode description: American consumers pay the highest prescription drug prices in the world. Interviews with legislators, scientists, consumers, and industry leaders examine efforts by states such as Maine and Oregon to try to control escalating drug costs in the face of strong opposition from the pharmaceutical industry, which argues that reducing drug prices will ultimately reduce the number of innovative drugs developed.
