A resident of Modesto, CA wonders whether an unusual leather satchel was used by a Norwegian immigrant who risked life and limb to hand-deliver the mail across the Sierra Mountains in the years before the Civil War. And a Missouri resident shows an unusual wooden box that may once have contained a birth control device.
