Episode description: Using light humor, this 20-minute film for middle school students presents important lessons on safety in the school science laboratory. Bumbling Lieutenant Grumman and his quiet partner end up at the wrong school after being called to investigate a science lab accident. Instead, a Mr. Petri shows the two a safe and clean science lab. The program introduces proper lab safety techniques and attitudes, demonstrates how to use various apparatus, shows how to prepare for lab work, and demonstrates how to handle emergencies.
