Episode description: Explores how social class plays a role in the lives of all Americans, looking at upward and downward mobility, social snobbery, class consciousness, and keeping up with the Joneses. Includes a profile of a young woman from rural Kentucky who dreams of going to college and starting a career in journalism, but finds that some of the people back home view her ambition as a rejection of their values.
