American Academy of Pediatrics Recommends PBS Kids
Recently, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) issued new guidelines on children’s media use, suggesting that children as young as 18 months may benefit from high-quality educational media, such as that provided by Sesame Workshop and PBS KIDS. The AAP authors note that “well-designed television programs, such as Sesame Street, can improve cognitive, literacy, and social outcomes for children 3 to 5 years of age.”
