The Molly of Denali Fish Camp game extends and expands children’s use of informational text as well as their knowledge of Alaska Native culture. In the game, Molly, her friend Trini, and Trini’s dad use an informational book and its features, such as the table of contents, labeled diagrams, and pictures with captions, in order to find out how to “catch” salmon with a traditional Alaska Native fish wheel or a canoe, rod, and reel.

Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum, a new PBS KIDS show based on the children’s book series “Ordinary People Change the World” by Brad Meltzer and Christopher Eliopoulous, premieres this week on KET. In each episode Xavier Riddle, his sister Yadina and their friend Brad face a problem and turn to the Secret Museum, a hidden room under an ordinary museum, to help them solve it.
