Education and Entertain with “Gross Science”

Why don’t vultures get food poisoning? How far do sneezes travel? Science is filled with stories – some of them are wondrous and some of them are, well, gross. Really gross.

Students can get some of their slimiest, yuckiest, creepiest questions answered about the world of science with the YouTube series “Gross Science,” produced by NOVA and PBS Digital Studios.

In this collection, you’ll find original short-form videos and do-it-yourself experiments, from how to view microbes with a DIY phone microscope, why some amphibians eat their mother’s skin, strange uses for bacon, and how poop can be used to cure an infection. These stories of gross-out science will educate AND entertain your students as they head back into the classroom!
