Join PBS KIDS and explore Spring with the Changing Seasons collection on PBS LearningMedia! Children will learn about the world around them through science, math, and art activities. Learn about seeds, parts of a plant, and how plants grow through video clips, extension activities, articles, and crafts.  Strengthen school-to-home connection with activities, articles and games for families. As you engage in these lessons, you can feel confident that you are helping children grow up great!

It’s hard to know how to explain tragic events to young children, or how much information to share. It’s also hard to know if your way of helping them with their fears and anxieties is “the right way” but there are ways to help them feel safer and more secure …and build hope for a more peaceful, kinder future. KET has curated a list of resources in hopes of providing families with a starting place for those difficult conversations taking place about violence in our community.

Work It Out Wombats! is a new series starring Malik, Zadie, and Zeke — a trio of wombat siblings who live with their grandma in the Treeborhood. The wombats love to explore their world, but will come across big problems and have to learn how to figure out a solution. Join GBH Education on February 15 at 7/6 pm to learn more about how to teach computational thinking skills and the “Work It Out Wombats!” lesson plans for PreK-K.

Join us at KET on February 2 as we highlight PreK-2nd grade resources from the Changing Seasons collection on PBS LearningMedia. These resources were developed through a co-design model, partnering with PBS KIDS and the PNC Foundation, to connect with PreK teachers and PBS member stations, such as KET to align materials from the Grow Up Great Lesson Center with PBS KIDS content. The result… new seasons-themed resources available for PreK teachers– all available in English and in Spanish.
