Elinor Wonders Why is a new series from PBS KIDS that aims to encourage children to follow their curiosity, ask questions when they don't understand and find answers using science inquiry skills. A new PBS LearningMedia collection has an array of resources - including interactive lessons, playlists, viewing guides, and printable activities - to encourage students to ask questions, make observations, and bask in the wonderment of nature's amazing answers!

Announcing the 2020 Summer Story Contest Winners!

KET is pleased to announce the winners of Meet the Helpers, the inaugural KET Summer Story Contest that celebrates the everyday helpers and heroes who answer the call during the pandemic. Children in K-3 grades were invited to submit stories describing selfless acts from the helpers they witness in their communities.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 KET Multimedia Professional Development Day went virtual. Kentucky educators could choose from 12 workshops over two weeks -- participating in every session that interested them instead of only four. While multimedia resources were highlighted, this year's workshops had a heavy focus on remote learning. The sessions were recorded and are now available to view online along with related materials.

Summer Learning at Home resource packet is now available

Thanks to a generous grant, the KET Early Education team in partnership with Family Resource Centers across Kentucky, will distribute Summer Learning at Home kits to PreK through 3rd grade students in need over the next week. The kits include a packet of materials with activities, which can also be downloaded online for free!
