Announcing the 2023 KET Young Writers Contest

KET Education is excited to announce the 2023 Young Writers Contest is open for submissions! The annual contest seeks to celebrate creativity through four categories of writing – Illustrated Story, Short Story, Poetry, and Graphic Novels. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, March 31, 2023. There is no set theme, allowing your PreK - 12th grade students to explore the depths of their own interests and creativity.

In recent years there has been much expressed concern at the heightened increase in suicide rates among young adults. It is now the second leading cause of death of young people. Depression, anxiety, stress, difficult economic periods, abuse, addiction, death of loved ones, job loss and more have been identified as contributing factors for the pain and hopelessness that can lead to suicidality. September is National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. Resources are available to share with learners who may be experiencing a crisis or exhibiting risks.
