A Full Sound: Traditional Guitar Styles

Guitarists Eddie Pennington and Jesse Aldridge demonstrate the flat-picking guitar style that originated in Western Kentucky (also called “Travis pickin’” in honor of Merle Travis, who made this style famous). They also discuss the work and influence of Travis as well as how modern guitarists learn to play.
