Harlan Hubbard

30:00 | #515 | TV-G

Accompanied by his wife, Anna, author and painter Harlan Hubbard put his principles of self-sufficiency and simplicity to the test by living for years on a shantyboat cruising the Ohio-Mississippi River system, then moved to a small farm in Northern Kentucky. His books about his experiences won him a national following in the 1940s and helped inspire later "back-to-nature" movements. A 1999 KET production hosted by Byron Crawford.
