KET welcomes kids and families to free Super Saturday event

KET invites families with children ages 2-8 to enjoy free, fun activities at its annual Super Saturday event on August 11 from 9 am to 3:30 pm at the KET Studios, 600 Cooper Drive in Lexington.

Attendees will get a chance to meet Mr. Steve of PBS KIDS, pose for pictures with favorite PBS KIDS characters and explore and learn at many STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math)-focused booths sponsored by event partners including:

  • Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest
  • Kentucky Historical Society (Camp Arty Fact)
  • Kentucky Science Center
  • KET Education/Countdown to Kindergarten
  • Lexington Philharmonic drummers
  • Lexington Philharmonic instrument petting zoo
  • The Living Arts and Science Center
  • The Louisville Zoo
  • Mathnasium
  • Musikgarten of Lexington
  • Newton’s Attic
  • UK Department of Entomology
  • UK Department of Physics and Astronomy
  • Whole Foods Market

Registration is free, but must be done in advance online at Families may choose to attend either a 9 am, 11 am or 12:45 pm session.
