KET’s Everyday Learning instructional media collection was recently honored with a National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) Award, presented at NETA’s annual professional development conference, held in Washington, D.C.

Everyday Learning is a collection of standards-based videos, interactives and support material for early childhood educators produced by KET and available nationally via PBS LearningMedia. The collection of more than 100 digital resources introduces basic concepts of math, science, social studies, art and health to young learners in an engaging way.

The Everyday Learning collection received a NETA Award for Teacher Resources in the Instructional Media category. To date, these resources have been viewed more than 630,000 times at KET.pbslearningmedia.org/collection/everyday-learning.

“KET’s Everyday Learning curricula and our accompanying early childhood teacher trainings have given educators all over Kentucky hands-on experience in using these innovative resources in their classrooms,” said Shae Hopkins, KET’s executive director and CEO. “We are honored to receive this recognition from NETA, and we congratulate our entire KET Education team, who worked so hard on this engaging and inspiring learning collection.”

While the collection is targeted to early childhood teachers, parents of preschool age children may also access Everyday Learning by creating a free online account at PBS LearningMedia.

Everyday Learning was produced by KET and funded in part by the James Graham Brown Foundation, PNC Foundation, Kentucky Power, Norton Healthcare and P&G.

KET is Kentucky’s largest classroom, where learning comes to life for more than one million people each week via television, online and mobile. Learn more about KET Education resources and services at KET.org/education and on Twitter @EducationKET.
