KET productions and Dave Shuffett win honors at Regional Emmy awards

The Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) recently recognized KET productions with four Regional Emmy awards. The awards recognize excellence in the areas of local news, programming and individual achievement and are one of the industry’s highest honors.
KET productions winning Emmy awards include:
- Documentary – Cultural/Topical
Walter Tevis: A Writer’s Gambit
Tom Thurman
- Documentary – Historical
Angels on Horseback: Midwives in the Mountains
Chelsea Gorham, Matthew Grimm and Nancy Southgate
- Writer – Long Form Content

- Graphic Arts – Motion Graphics/Visual Effects/Compositing

Additionally, the academy also honored former Kentucky Life host Dave Shuffett with the Silver Circle award, one of the highest honors given by NATAS, which recognizes television professionals who have performed distinguished service within the television industry for 25 years or more, a significant part of which was done within the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia region.
