KET productions honored with four Regional Emmy nominations

KET productions were recognized with four Regional Emmy Award nominations from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The awards recognize excellence in the areas of local news, programming and individual achievement and are one of the industry’s highest honors.

“I congratulate all our talented staff members for their fine work,” said Shae Hopkins, KET’s executive director and CEO. “These Regional Emmy nominations attest to the quality of KET’s productions and underscore our dedication to serving the people of Kentucky.” 

KET productions received nominations in the following categories:

  • Graphic Arts – Motion Graphics/Visual Effects/Compositing
    Angels on Horseback: Midwives in the Mountains
    Micah Trivisonno, Clark Bradshaw
  • Documentary – Cultural/Topical
    Walter Tevis: A Writer’s Gambit
    Tom Thurman
  • Documentary – Historical
  • Angels on Horseback: Midwives in the Mountains
  • Chelsea Gorham, Matthew Grimm, Nancy Southgate
  • Writer – Long Form Content

The Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences includes 13 television markets from a four-state region, including parts of Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana and Kentucky. Emmy winners will be announced July 30, 2022, at the Emmy Gala in Columbus, Ohio.
