KET’s Be My Neighbor Day event in Louisville celebrates giving back to the community

Families are invited to join KET and its partners, PNC Grow Up Great and Fred Rogers Productions, for Be My Neighbor Day on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 12-4 pm at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville.

The free, family event builds on the values and themes presented in Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and introduces children to caring neighbors and community helpers while teaching them the importance of giving back.

Be My Neighbor Day features an assortment of fun and engaging activities, such as:

  • Daniel Tiger meet and greet
  • Arts & crafts activity stations
  • Plant-a-seed tent
  • Healthy Kids Corner featuring healthy snacks and hands-on activities
  • Healthy Mind, Healthy Body tent featuring partners with resources for parents
  • Live music by John Gage
  • Meet your local community helpers, featuring police, firefighters, librarians and more
  • Quiet tent with iPads and award-winning PBS apps

The event is free, and registration is required at KET.org/Neighbor.
