Alaska's Gold Rush Train

On July 29, 1900, workers drove home the last spike of the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway at Carcross, Yukon Territory, completing one of the most spectacular railways in the world. The WP&YR passes through some of the most rugged, remote, and scenic landscapes in North America. Produced in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the opening of the route, this program takes an unforgettable rail journey through America's last frontier-and back to another time and place in American history.
