A professional development series for mathematics teachers, based on the findings of a long-term study that followed one group of students through their math classes from grade 1 to grade 12. Classroom footage demonstrates the sophisticated and complex mathematical ideas children form, even at a very young age, and shows how teachers can structure their teaching to better resonate with these ideas and therefore better connect with students.
