A dramatization of the life of clergyman, writer, and political conspirator Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Opposed to the Nazis from the start, the Lutheran minister reluctantly joined a conspiracy to overthrow Hitler-a course of action that cost him his freedom and eventually his life. The cast includes Ulrich Tukur as Bonhoeffer, Susanne Lothar as Sabine Leibholz, and Johanna Klante as Maria von Wedemeyer.
