Concert for Bangladesh

In August 1971, George Harrison gathered a host of musical friends to stage a benefit concert for Asian refugees displaced by political turmoil, famine, and natural disaster. Featuring performances by Ravi Shankar, Eric Clapton, Jim Horn, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Leon Russell, and Billy Preston, the concert was a forerunner of many superstar benefits to come.
