Death: A Personal Understanding

Robert J. Kastenbaum hosts an examination of the ways in which we try to comprehend death-psychologically, spiritually, medically, socially, philosophically, and emotionally-by introducing case studies and moving personal stories of people facing their own death or the death of a loved one. This high school and college classroom series explores a wide range of North American cultural perspectives on death within the context of current issues, including AIDS, death by violence, suicide, assisted suicide, hospice care, end-of-life decision making, and how children react to death.
