This series, showcasing many of the 20th century's greatest speakers, provides a behind-the-scenes look at many of the most famous speeches in modern American history, presenting 35 powerful orations, stump speeches, debates and addresses.Former White House press secretary Jody Powell provides historical background, anecdotes, and analysis, setting up each speech and explaining how public discourse in this country has been transformed through media from lengthy stump speeches to short television sound bites.
