Richmond's Hollywood Cemetery, so named because of the proliferation of holly trees on its grounds, is a park-like green space with winding roads and paths, indigenous trees and shrubbery, and a commanding view of the James River. It is also a historical treasure: the final resting place for two U.S. presidents, the only Confederate president, several Confederate generals, a Supreme Court justice, and numerous writers and local celebrities.
