In a unique collaboration, choreographer William Starrett brings Jonathan Green's paintings of South Carolina's Gullah culture to the ballet stage. The vivid costumes, landscapes, and people depicted on Green's canvases come to life in dance vignettes set to music rooted in the history of the region, including gospel, jazz, folk songs, and hymns.
