A professional development workshop designed to help elementary teachers better understand the concept of energy as it is used in science-a critical foundation for many ideas in physical science, Earth and space science, and life science. The programs examine energy's role in motion, machines, food, the human body, and the universe as a whole; how it can be converted from one form to another and transferred over space and time; and the principle of conservation of energy.
