A workshop series for elementary teachers that uses light as a theme for exploring ideas in physics, chemistry, biology, space science, and Earth science. A common thread through many areas of science, light is a natural topic for interdisciplinary science study. Real-world connections include such topics as the behavior of light; the transformation of energy; and the role of light in the weather, the seasons, and the production of food by plants.
