Three American Jewish women reconcile their roles as mothers, daughters, homemakers, and career women with their ties to family, religion, and generations of women before them while preparing and serving the Passover Seder. As Ada, Bernice, and Brenda welcome their guests, read the Haggadah, and eat the festive meal, they talk about the restrictions they have encountered as Jews and as women-and how they have escaped those burdens and come to celebrate and appreciate their family and their freedom.
