60th Annual Peabody Awards

Each year, the George Foster Peabody Awards recognize distinguished achievement and meritorious public service by radio and television stations, networks, producing organizations and individuals. The awards perpetuate the memory of the banker-philanthropist whose name they bear, Georgia native George Foster Peabody (1852-1938), and are among of the most prestigious broadcasting awards. This program was taped in May 2001 at New York's Waldorf Astoria during the awards presentation.
