Saving Taliesin: Preserving the Legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright

Wright built his home, school, and workplace near Spring Green, WI and named the complex Taliesin, Welsh for shining brow, because he built it on the edge of a hill and not on the top. Taliesin suffers from serious deterioration caused by water, settling, and decay, but maintenance and preservation efforts are under way. Private, state, and national interests, collaborating in the form of the Taliesin Preservation Commission, are working to preserve the buildings while allowing the life within them to continue uninterrupted.
