Interviews with descendants of Lewis and Clark as well as historians and owners of historic homes recall how the families and contemporaries of the explorers prepared them for their daring expedition across the West. Includes visits to a reenactment at the Lewis & Clark Festival; a keelboat demonstration; and a performance by the Monacan Nation Muddy Creek Drum Group at Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's estate in central Virginia.
