Young Writers Contest

Presenting Our 2012 Contest Winners!

Our young authors were inspired by the fanciful creatures of their imaginations as well as very real canine companions as they told tales of friendship and honesty in the 2012 KET Young Writers Contest.

A young gardener befriends a fairy in the delightful story of "The Fairy's Gloves." An endearing elephant learns about honesty and true friendship in "Elly the Elephant." A Jack Russell terrier is the inspiration for the humorous look at "My Ruff Life." A dragon shows his devotion to a young girl in the beautifully hand-painted "Once." A lion finds just the right qualities in his new heir in the fable "The Heir of Lion King." And a shelter dog learns to behave and enjoys a happy surprise in "Buddy, the Shelter Dog."

KET is proud to present our five first-place stories here. Congratulations to all of you! We enjoyed your stories very much.  » Complete List of 2012 Contest Winners
