KET to air programs commemorating the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II

In light of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, KET will air a selection of programs highlighting her life and reign:

  • The PBS NewsHour special Queen Elizabeth: A Royal Life, which explores Queen Elizabeth’s life, legacy and her influence within the royal family, across the United Kingdom and around the world, airs on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 8/7 pm on KET.

  • In Their Own Words: Queen Elizabeth, which showcases Queen Elizabeth’s speeches and interviews across her reign – from her first public address at age 14 in the midst of the Second World War to recent appearances on the 75th anniversary of D-Day – airs on Friday, Sept. 9, at 8:30/7:30 pm on KET and on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 7/6 pm on KET2.

  • The Queen at War, which examines how Queen Elizabeth and British history was shaped by World War II, airs Sunday, Sept. 11, at 11/10 pm on KET and on Friday, Sept. 9, at 7/6 pm on KET2.

  • Secrets of the Royal Palaces, which offers an in-depth look at the palaces of the British royals and the secrets they hold, airs Sunday, Sept. 11, at 3/2 pm on KET and on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 6/5 pm on KET2.

  • Queen: Anthology – A Life on Film, which offers a trove of short films that present a unique perspective on the remarkable life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II, airs on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7/6 pm on KET2.

  • State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, including highlights of the event, airs on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8/7 pm on KET.
