All Gardens Great and Small

In ALL GARDENS GREAT AND SMALL, Britcom star Miranda Hart (Call The Midwife, Miranda, Spy) narrates and profiles her mother, Dee Hart Dyke. Dee is one of Britain's best amateur gardeners and a highly experienced and knowledgeable plantswoman. In this mini series, Dee drives throughout Britain meeting those who are opening up their gardens to visitors through the National Garden Scheme (regarded by many as the horticultural bible). She visits those about to show their gardens for the very first time and explores some of the most established gardens in the yellow book - from the classic to the eccentric. All the while, Dee tries to convert her daughter to the joys of gardening. Dee first started gardening at the age of eight after her mother gave her a packet of seeds, and she now hopes to pass on the tradition. Over the course of three episodes we meet Chatu, who is preparing to open her small urban garden - proving you don't have to have an enormous area to land a place in the NGS guide book; visit with Comedian Julian Clary who shows us around the Kent garden he has loving restored; marvel at Charlotte's topiary garden that attracts visitors from far and wide; and, explore Tim and Lesley's two and a half acre tropical garden in Worcestershire.
