Darkness at High Noon: The Carl Foreman Documents

In 1952, Hollywood writer Carl Foreman (High Noon) was in exile in London where he had gone to avoid jail for refusing to testify before the HouseCommitte on Un-American Activities committee. His letter to the New York Times critic Bosley Crowther explains the circumstances surrounding the making of the movie. That letter, and transcripts of later interviews provide a new look of those blacklisted.
