KET’s weekly current events show for students features some very special guests on the December 5 episode – Chris and Martin Kratt, stars of the PBS Kids series Wild Kratts! The brothers present the program’s weekly challenge question at the top of the show and then return later to reveal the answer. The episode also features student opinion responses, answering the question, “If you could be any wild animal, what would you choose? Why?”
News Quiz is a student-friendly, interactive program that features a 10-question quiz based on each week’s stories. The interactivity ensures that students stay fully engaged while improving listening skills and knowledge of current events. There’s something for everyone from election coverage and technology innovations to inspiring artists and enchanting animals.
You can also check out the Wild Kratts collection on PBS LearningMedia which includes a variety of resources focused on teaching viewers natural history, age-appropriate science and observation skills, all while building on students’ natural interest in animals.
