Free Math Games from PBS
The new PBS Kids Lab offers 40 new cross-platform games that help children ages 2-8 build math skills. The games—all of which have been tested in classrooms—engage children with new technology like webcams and microphones, making use of body movement and sound.
Examples from the new suites of games include:
- Curious George Monkey Jump: Jump along with George to fill a toy store bin with bouncy balls (requires webcam) and count along as each ball is added. Kids without webcams can use an equally fun mouse-driven version.
- Sid the Science Kid Super Fab Lab Science Fair, Mae's Sorting Box: Help Mae sort her rock collection by color and texture.
- The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! Hermit Shell Game: Help the Cat, Nick, and Sally fit hermit crabs into shells that are just the right size and pattern.
Catch the Cat on KET!
