Fighting to Breathe: Dr. Steve Browning on Improving Air Quality in Eastern Kentucky

In this interview from KET’s Fighting to Breathe initiative, Renee Shaw speaks with Steve Browning, MSPH, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. Dr. Browning talks about efforts to improve air quality in eastern Kentucky through the Mountain Air Project, where public health workers made visits to rural households and educated families about ways to improve their indoor ventilation and eliminate contaminants.

Fighting to Breathe is funded, in part, by grants from the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky and the Kentucky Medical Association through a grant from the Anthem Foundation.
